Perpetual Groove the veteran jam act’s first full-length release since Heal in 2009, it also marks the first LP featuring the classic lineup of guitarist Brock Butler, keyboardist Matt McDonald, bassist Adam Perry and drummer Albert Suttle since 2007’s LIVELOVEDIE. PGroove has survived lineup changes and a two-year hiatus over the past decade and returns with a collection of seven songs produced by Jason Kingsland and Tim Friesen.
Butler, McDonald, Perry and Suttle recorded the album in 2018 at studios in North Carolina and Georgia. The quartet created the music in the studio instead of their typical m.o. of testing the material on the road. Brock and Adam were tasked with writing the lyrics for the LP. “The inimitable lyrical style of Brock Butler and Adam Perry focus on loss, redemption, hope and is balanced with a sonic cerebral and emotional undertow,” reads materials announcing the album. Perpetual Groove is the band’s first vinyl release and will also be available on CD and via digital services.
Tracklist:
1. Part Three
2. Spirit Bear
3. Upswing
4. Down In
5. Eventually
6. Break the Silence
7. A. Retro
